The elves, tweens and chickens are mobile. The chickens are usually slow and the elves move slowly but the tweens can be hard to catch.

The important thing to remember is that you can bind keys to select next item or to select next NPC. I have my G set to “get” next item and U to use them. My F10 selects the next NPC and U also talks to them. This really comes in handy for beer, chickens and terrible tweens. If you also have the option for “move to use”, you can select something, tap the U and go to it (if it isn’t around a corner).

If you have to leave the beaten path, use the F10 to get back to the elf nearest you.

This is the route I prefer when not in a timed quest.
